We can tell more about Lady Macbeth in the second Act. When Macbeth kills King Duncan with the daggers. He goes and talks to Lady Macbeth how he can not go back there. She is tells him to put the daggers back, but says that he can not. Lady Macbeth says to him " Infirm of purpose! Give me the daggers. The sleeping and the dead are but as picture. 'Tis the eye of childhood that fears a painted devil. If he do bleed, I'll gild the faces of the grooms withal, for it must seem their guilt." She is telling him that he is weak and for this to go right they both have to be ruthless and make it look like it was not them, but the servants for King Duncan.
