Conflict

This far in the play we have seen an internal conflict. When the Witches call Macbeth further King, he does not understand why they called him King, but he really wants to be King. Then when Macbeth thinks about it, he really wants it to happen and he thinks that only way for this to happen is for him to kill the current King. This is an internal conflict that we have seen in the play so far.

    This post is a good start. Macbeth is internally conflicted once he hears the witches' predictions. While you identify the fact that there is a conflict, you need to do a better job illustrating what the conflict is and you may want to go over possible options of how it will be resolved. Also, Macbeth does not WANT to kill the King at this point, he "yields to the suggestion."

    This is an important conflict that appears early in the play. Macbeth does not have any true desire to become king until he hears it from the witches. I agree that this is one of the main conflicts exposed in the play.
