Setting & Location

Macbeth is taken place in a village called Glamis, Scotland. He is important because he is a thane to the village and to the people. This location is important to the play because this is where he learns from the witches that he can become King. Since Macbeth is nobel to this place that also means that it could lead to better things in the future. It is held in a place that seems to be always dark and gloomy which sets the mood of the play in the way things will happen throughout the play.
